» Lombard wins Manchester Airports Group fleet deal
LOMBARD Vehicle Management has secured a deal to provide a comprehensive car fleet solution for Manchester Airports Group, as its sole supplier.
The deal sees Manchester Airport’s current fleet of around 45 cars being sold and leased back on a fully maintained contract hire basis; an additional number is being disposed of through LVM’s channels. The leased-back vehicles are being equipped with LVM monitoring and asset management tool Lombard Fleet Tracker, and will have accident management.
Newly acquired vehicles will also benefit from these products and the improved scheme is currently being offered to around 80 further employees, with a choice of any vehicle.
However, the new company car policy encourages staff to opt for models emitting less than 160 g/km of carbon dioxide. The cars will be run over four-years/60,000 miles.
The scheme may also be rolled out to up to 2,500 additional staff at the group’s East Midlands, Humberside and Bournemouth airports as well as Manchester. (Lombard: October 19).
